Hey there, I'm Rachie!
I’m a mom of four wild and wonderful daughters (ages 4-13), and honestly? I’m basically just one of the kids myself!
How We Got Here
Both my husband and I are high school dropouts. We did eventually earn our diplomas… my husband even went on to earn his bachelor’s! But we did NOT fit into the classroom setting. When I was younger, I really wanted to be homeschooled but we knew nothing about it!
Fast forward to today and there are SO many options. As a neurodiverse mom raising neurodiverse daughters, I want them to find learning approaches that honor how their unique brains work. Because each of my children are neurodivergent, I want them to find schooling in their own personal learning style.
What I Believe
I'm a total novelty-addict who believes ordinary moments are where the real magic happens. Whether it's a spontaneous dance party in the kitchen or turning a random Tuesday into "fancy spaghetti night," some of our best family traditions started with the silliest ideas.
Our house is beautifully chaotic. We're a neurodiverse family where everyone's brain works a little differently, and we've learned that the systems and traditions that work are the ones we create ourselves.
My Happy Places
You'll find me with paint-by-numbers on an easel that I move around the house - from the front room, to the family room, to the backyard patio even! I'm always working on that or any of my many other creative hobbies.
But my absolute favorite place? The hammock in my backyard, watching my girls play outside and jump on the trampoline. They make me laugh constantly! Most of all, I love helping them embrace who they were created to be and building traditions that celebrate our family’s beautiful difference.
I love growing flowers in my garden too, and yes, I actually find weeding pretty satisfying (it’s my therapy!).
What I'm Here to Share
Through Flourish Family Co, I get to share the tools, encouragement, and advocacy strategies that help neurodiverse families thrive. Whether you’re navigating school accommodations, helping your daughter build confidence in her differences, or creating magical traditions that work for your unique family, I believe every family can create their own version of flourishing.
Because authentic families who celebrate their differences are the ones that truly flourish.
Let's Be Friends!
I share our real life (chaos and all) over on Instagram, and send weekly encouragement straight to your inbox. I'd love to connect with other moms raising wild and wonderful daughters and hear about your family’s beautifully different traditions too!
